Yesterday went to orchard road to see Ion Orchard!! With Mum, bro, cousin Yh and I! Before that we had lunch. Of porridge and canned food. URGH. Mum doesn't know how to cook at all. ANYWAY.... About Ion orchard again. WHOPPEE~ Actually only the basement floors were nice. Above were all branded stuff and was yeah, mostly empty. There was this branded line of clothes "Bershaka" which sold hippie clothes stuff, with rock music blasting out of its speaker in the middle of it. Lol. And I remember that there's this bag shop which arranged its bags into a long row featuring different shades of colour, which was cool. But the colour line was almost disrupted when a curious auntie came taking a yellow bag off the line to be examined. HAHA lol. My deepst impression was on a bookshop called "Prologue" by Popular. It had 2 stories, the toppest selling stationary. It was supossed to be designer I think with the red stairs and white statue thingy in there. But it wasn't anything really special. Deco, deco, and declare that it is a special shop. It's nothing different from the normal popular. It doesn't even have a proper chinese manga section! What a disappointment. I had expected more actually :( Next we went to Takashimaya. Mum had a 10 dollar voucher. We ended up buying a MYUK pencilcase for my bro. The tagline on the case was hilarious. "Find x." *circles an x on the triangle* "here it is!" LOL. there are other funny ones I bet you guys know about cos' it's getting quite popular among us youngsters. Then I declared that I was going to look for Books Kinokuniya in Taka cos' I had never ever been to one before. And the best thing is that I figured that there was going to be loads of Manga inside since it's a Japanese-based bookshop. And OMG it was HUGE ok. It's like 5 times the size of Thomson Plaza's Popular Bookstore. I was looking for the manga section and just as I was gonna give up, I found IT. The manga section was DAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN huge. There was like more than 20 bookshelves of manga, consisting of (i guess) more than a 100 titles. I was like OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I immediately ran like mad to the shelves. I spotted some of my favourite/famous titles like Fate/Stay Night, Gakuen Alice, Shakugan no Shana, ToraDora, Hana Yori Dango, Hana to Akuma, Shugo Chara etcetcetc. I was like OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO all over again. I never thought that there was actually such manga available in S'pore. I thought I could only find these stuff of the net. But of course they were seriously expensive. Like for Gakuen Alice from publisher Tokyopop, it costs like 17 bucks plusplus a volume. EXXXX. Dad(who joined mum, bro, my cousin YH and I later in the afternoon) allowed me to buy one manga volume. I was at a dilemma. But at last I chose a chinese volume one of Hana Yori Dango since it was THICK and costs like 17 bucks so it was gonna be "worth it". It was a reprint copy and was rather heavy. Mum was like "YOU HAVE SO MANY MANGA LIAO STILL BUY~?! PUT THE BOOK BACK TO THE SHELF!" We ignored her. After I bought it I was on the moon.............. Later on all of us had dinner at Taka's foodcourt thingy. I had beef noodles~~ <3 It was really tasty! End of the day.... Go home by MRT, then alight at Bishan stop to take dad's car home! (He'd parked it there)
